PROJECT SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY:

A Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with project plans and specifications. This role requires strong knowledge of both commercial and residential construction, as well as the ability to lead and supervise a team of laborers, carpenters, and concrete finishers. The Superintendent must coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and crew members, while conducting regular quality control and safety checks to maintain high standards on the job site. Clear and consistent communication with the Project Manager is essential throughout the duration of the project to align on scheduling, staffing, and progress. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a take-charge attitude with the ability to resolve issues quickly and keep operations running efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAFETY:
  • Implement safety plans and enforce all company safety policies.

  • Ensure compliance with PPE, vehicle operation, equipment usage, and drug policies.

  • Conduct and document weekly site safety meetings with all team members and subcontractors.

TIME MANAGEMENT:
  • Approach all tasks with a sense of urgency to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

  • Oversee the daily responsibilities, tasks, and schedules of all on-site team members.

  • Stay self-motivated and ensure all team members remain focused and productive.

  • Apply cost-effective and efficient management techniques to streamline operations.

SCHEDULING:
  • Coordinate labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment needs in collaboration with the Project Manager.

  • Schedule subcontractors and vendors based on the critical path timeline.

  • Adjust operations as necessary to maintain construction schedules and meet deadlines.

  • Prioritize and sequence all phases of construction activities.

  • Assist in assigning team members across multiple ongoing projects as needed.

DAILY/WEEKLY ONSITE DUTIES:
  • Maintain detailed daily and weekly jobsite logs; take progress photos and report updates to management.

  • Conduct weekly site reviews alongside the Project Manager.

  • Work with office staff and the Project Manager to monitor and update budgets, schedules, change orders, and RFIs.

  • Interpret and work from construction plans, specifications, staking, and grade requirements.

  • Maintain accurate As-Built/Redline drawings throughout the project.

  • Take a hands-on approach to coordinate all work phases on-site.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the jobsite, company vehicles, and equipment.

  • Resolve on-site conflicts promptly and professionally.

  • Host and accommodate weekly site visits from owners, engineers, and architects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the construction industry

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Strong ability to organize and manage work schedules

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Able to perform maintenance checks and routine servicing on construction equipment

  • Proven ability to motivate team members and lead projects to successful completion

  • Must be proficient in operating various types of equipment, including telehandlers, skid steers, and similar machinery
