
GENERAL LABORER
JOB SUMMARY:
Construction Laborers play a key role in supporting project completion by performing a wide range of duties on construction sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, erecting scaffolding, digging trenches, operating heavy equipment, loading and unloading materials, cleaning job sites, assisting carpenters, and following instructions from supervisors and management. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Work will be performed across various job sites in Montana and North Dakota, and the laborer is expected to take responsibility for personal job site safety. Familiarity with construction equipment and basic equipment operation is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess a solid working knowledge of construction practices and jobsite protocols

Be reliable and consistently arrive on time for scheduled work

Follow directions from supervisors and team leaders effectively and respectfully

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative

Adhere to all company/client policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal regulations

Complete daily job reports, if required

Follow all safety procedures and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Job duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required daily, as applicable

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme weather conditions

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, shovel, sweep, rake, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms—possibly for extended periods

Requires occasional lifting or moving of up to 65 pounds during the workday

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations

Valid driver’s license required

Willingness to travel for projects throughout Montana and North Dakota

Availability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed

Ability to perform basic math for measurements and material calculations

Must be a self-motivated and dependable individual
