
CONCRETE FINISHER
JOB SUMMARY:
A Concrete Finisher must have experience in all facets of concrete construction, with extensive knowledge of finishing techniques for a variety of project types. This position requires the ability to perform high-quality concrete work on both commercial and residential job sites throughout Montana and North Dakota. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety standards on the job site, demonstrating strong attention to detail, and producing durable, high-quality finishes. Familiarity with construction equipment and basic equipment operation is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess strong working knowledge of concrete formwork, slab preparation and placement, concrete mixes, finishing techniques, grade establishment, and layout procedures

Read and interpret plans and specifications, with a solid understanding of concrete specifications

Demonstrate basic electrical and mechanical knowledge relevant to concrete construction

Adhere to all company/client policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal regulations governing jobsite safety and environmental standards

Complete daily job reports, when required

Strictly follow all safety procedures and protocols

Be punctual, reliable, and consistently show up on time

Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges in the field
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without prior notice

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required daily, as applicable to job tasks

Work will take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme weather conditions

While performing job duties, employees may be required to walk, stand, sit, shovel, sweep, rake, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms, potentially for extended periods

Must be able to occasionally move/lift up to 65 pounds throughout the workday

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in concrete or general construction required

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic understanding of computers and software programs

Proven experience in concrete finishing and completing concrete construction projects

Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and DEQ safety and environmental regulations

Must possess a valid driver’s license
-
Willingness to travel for work within Montana and North Dakota

Availability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed

Must be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
